Items can be donated in two ways: Send items to school with your child NHS will collect items at beginning of each school day this week and provide your student with a popcorn voucher to be sent home in his/her Friday Folder . . .

    BE ADVISED:  The Board of Directors of the Fremont-Mills Community School District will hold a public hearing on the 8th day of November , 2017 at 6:05 p.m. at the Fremont-Mills Community School District Library, 1114 Highway 275, Tabor, Iowa on its recently adopted resolution to consider continued participation in the instructional support program.  The proposition to be considered as per the resolution . . .

Good News From Fremont-Mills Community Schools

At the October 11, 2017 School Board Meeting, the following individuals and groups were recognized, Congratulations to our Students and Staff:


The Fremont-Mills High School Choir had 10 men participate in the inaugural "All Men Sing Festival" hosted by the Southwest Iowa Choral Directors' Association. They joined over 200 other male singers for an honor choir festival at Atlantic Students participating:Tristan Vanatta, Connor Alley, Austin Gartner, Alex Perrin, Eli Owen, James Switzer, Nicolas Miramontes, Cooper Langfelt, Drayden Melgoza, Jesse Lemonds


We also have 5 students participating in the Simpson College Honor Choir on October 12th. This gives the students a chance to perform the all-state music they are currently preparing for auditions.

From the GHAEA - Newsletter - Growth In Literacy 2016-17 School Year


Out of 46 school districts in the Green Hills AEA only  7 School Districts showed K-3 Fall to Spring Average Growth of 10% or more in assessment scores.  F-M was at 19.7% growth from fall to spring!!!! Congratulations to the F-M K-3 Teachers, Students and Families!  Well Done!


The Fremont-Mills High School Marching Band received 1st place in the high school division of the 2017 Shenfest Parade in Shenandoah September 23.  The band also participated in the Popcorn Parade in Hamburg on September 9. The Marching Knights will finish the parade season at the 62nd Annual Southwest Iowa Band Jamboree in Clarinda on Saturday, September 30. The 9:00 a.m. parade will feature 52 middle school, high school, and college marching bands.

Weekly Update

We enter the post-season for fall sports this week! We hope to see you all out in full force to help  support  our teams!   Regional volleyball begins  this Tuesday  with our girls playing at home vs Griswold. If they win  Tuesday  night, they will play in Malvern vs East Mills  next . . .
